What to Know about the Festival

Four decades ago, the Festival at Sandpoint was started to provide an incredible music experience and cultivate culture and ethnic diversity by putting on a wide range of concerts. This annual event takes over War Memorial Field on Ontario Street in Sandpoint for two weeks every summer. Lineups have been known to include national acts like Train, REO Speedwagon, and more. Check the site for the most up-to-date information as acts for the year are announced.

Tickets for individual shows can be purchased online, which will go on sale as headliners are announced. Season passes are available every year starting in October, but they are known to sell out quickly. All purchases are final.

Don’t worry about going hungry during your concert-going experience. There are both food vendors and a full-service bar found on the festival grounds. This is a cashless venue, so plan accordingly. There are over 200 slips, which means it can accommodate numerous summer enthusiasts. In addition to slips, this spot has several other features and amenities, including 24-hour fuel, dockside power and water, a boat launch, boat and trailer storage, a pump-out station, and more. All of this combines to provide you with a phenomenal boating experience.

This marina is more than a spot to store your boat. It is also home to Sandpoint Watersports. 2 Golf Courses in the Sandpoint Region

Golf is an activity that is equal parts relaxing and memorable. The courses throughout the Sandpoint area are ideal for golfers of all skill levels. Enjoy the incredible Idaho weather and scenery by hitting one of these three spots.

  1. Up the road is the Sandpoint Elks Golf Course in Ponderay. Open to the public, this nine-hole course features double tee boxes. Pricing varies depending on member status and how many holes you’re playing. Make your round even more enjoyable by renting a power cart.
  2. About 25 minutes away is The Idaho Club, home to the state’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature course. The 18-hole championship course is perfect for all skill levels. The course is open to the public starting at 10:30 a.m. daily.

For a different golf experience, check out one of the two disc golf courses within 30 minutes of the resort. Sandpoint Disc Golf is an 18-hole course that only costs $1 per round. Caliber Disc Golf is about 10 miles north of Sandpoint and is open from dawn to dusk.
